A Shropshire marketing and e-business solutions provider, who built a one-off website to help a client sell his house, has now developed the package as a tool for estate agents to offer sellers at the high value end of the property market.Secure Property

Shrewsbury based BeVivid Ltd designed and created a website for Glyn Lewis-Jones, whose 25 acre 400-year-old small holding -The Glyn – situated among ancient woodland and pastures and containing rare breeds of cattle and sheep near Welshpool in Powys, recently sold through the Shrewsbury office of estate agents Strutt & Parker. The aim of the website, which linked directly from Strutt & Parker’s online details of the property was to convey key messages about the new owners’ prospective lifestyle at the unique location, as well as their ongoing environmental responsibility.

Having lived at The Glyn for over twenty years and soon to emigrate with his wife to her native New Zealand, Mr Lewis-Jones said: “We wanted to ensure that possible buyers understood what they were taking on in terms of the land management. In addition, the website was much more than basic information about the house but provided an in-depth story about our property, what to expect and what was expected of the new owners. If it ticked all the boxes then they could move to the next stage, if not then no time was wasted in fruitless visits. The combination of our website and a national estate agent enabled us to sell to the right people, whom we are sure, will enjoy their new surroundings and the company of our friends and neighbours from the local community.”

Zerina Mason, senior account director at BeVivid Ltd, said: “The Glyn website is what we would call a marketing focused, web e-commercial. It turned out to be a useful addition to the estate agent’s own directory listing and marketing material and as a result the property sold within two weeks of the website going live. Potential purchasers could make well informed decisions prior to viewing, especially if they were travelling long distance.”

“Although it is widely reported and accepted that the property market is well down year on year, there appears to be positive movement at the upper end of the market place,” she continues, “our package is aimed at supporting and complimenting estate agent’s in-house marketing initiatives. We have created bespoke templates for individual agents to ensure each has its own personality – in effect this is a more up-to-date, cost-effective marketing tool that can make the difference.”
