What is e-Commerce?
e-Commerce Explained
E-commerce or ecommerce is the marketing, buying or selling of goods or services on-line.E-commerce can refer to electrical sites such as PC World who sell computers and computer components or Amazon UK who sell many items like books. Both are E-commerce websites, one which was a High Street store and the other an Internet only business.
Along with big national chains, there are also small and medium sized e-commerce sites for a range of products such as jewellery, mobile phones and music CDs. To help these sites do business online, many web design and IT companies provide services / software such as shopping cart systems and secure credit card payment gateways.
