Online Childrens Bedroom Furniture Business Aims To Secure Niche Whilst Giving Something Back

Online Childrens Bedroom Furniture Business Aims To Secure Niche Whilst Giving Something BackA recently established Shropshire online business is offering an incentive scheme to help fund pre school nurseries.

Shrewsbury based Sleepyhead Beds, who sell children’s themed bedroom furniture, is offering up to 10% of profits back to a nursery displaying their uniquely coded marketing material when parents of youngsters attending that nursery purchase the company’s products at www.sleepyheadbeds.co.uk. The initiative was developed in conjunction with marketing and e-business solutions provider BeVivid Ltd, Shrewsbury; who also designed and created the website.

The aim of Sleepyhead Beds is to provide children over the age of 2 years with a fun bedroom. With two young children of their own Donna Brady, director at Sleepyhead Beds with her husband Peter said: "This is just one of many ideas to raise awareness of the business as well as help out nurseries. So far we’ve started to roll out the scheme in some national chains."

Their initial market research identified Sleepyhead Beds as one of only four businesses in the UK selling similar products. Consequently, they have customers from the Outer Hebrides to Cornwall buying the furniture, available either as complete bedrooms or individual items.

With the price of a bed starting at £129 response so far has been very positive as Donna Brady continues: "Some parents often encounter difficulties with their kids adjusting to a larger bed from a cot. However, our customers are commenting that the themed bedroom has enabled their children to settle quickly and sleep well after the move."

Donna and Peter fully understand that by simply setting up a website, they shouldn’t expect the world to come to them and are keen to promote the business through other marketing channels such as the nursery scheme. She said: "We anticipate continuing to develop our successful partnership with BeVivid as the business grows through further promotional activities and added functionality to our website."

Confirming that message Peter Riches, MD at BeVivid Ltd said: "Donna and Peter found and commissioned us to carry out the work on their site through our high ranking in the search engines. In the same way our remit is to make sure they not only have a professional, smooth operating website but one that is ranked high with the likes of Google. In addition, and as a full service agency, the offline promotional activity we’ve devised will also help to drive potential customers to their site."
